The
final passing out parade is fast approaching.
With
three days of 1950s’ National Service training left to
go, the bad lads still have many obstacles to face before
they can re-enter the real world.
Thirty
lads agreed to step back in time to be put through their paces
with a short, sharp dose of military training... 1950s style.
The
stakes are high for the young men who have gone off the rails
and are looking for the opportunity to get their lives back
on track.
And
despite facing the fearsome wrath of Lads Army stars Corporals
Murray and Nauyokas among others, the boys are prepared to
do anything for a second chance.
In
the last of the series, after Captain Dodds’ lesson in
manners and social etiquette, the lads get taken to the local
Women’s Institute to try out what they have learnt on
unsuspecting old ladies.
The
camp's most notorious malingerer, John Kyprianou, has a drill
and verbal test to check if he will or won’t be able
to pass out on parade with the others – and Private Xidakis
cheekily steals the captain’s bike and gets a punishment
far worse than any given out before.
The
last night’s beer snorting session in the NAAFI makes
for a very unpleasant final inspection the following morning.
Tensions are high. Finally the lads’ families and friends
arrive for the final Passing Out. Will all the lads make it?
Who will win best recruit? And what is Private Gilks about
to do that will shock and thrill his girlfriend?
